This was his design for the conclusion of the Star Wars saga that he began in 1977, and that he returned to for the prequel trilogy starting with 1999’s The Phantom Menace. It’s widely known now that at the time that Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney, the creator of the franchise handed over outlines for Star Wars: Episode VII, Episode VIII, and Episode IX.
